Ant Anstead has defended himself after being criticized for posting pictures of his three-year-old son Hudson amid his bitter custody battle with his ex-wife. Christina Hall.
The 43-year-old host of Wheelers Dealers faced backlash online after he posted photos of Hudson on Instagram on Thursday, though he criticized Hall, 39, in court for sharing photos of their young child on social media.
Instagram users quickly flocked to the comments to accuse Anstead of hypocrisy and the British citizen hit back at some of his critics in responses.
“She can post as many organic images as she wants,” he told one critic, after several users said it was “unfair.” Please do a fact-finding and come back fully informed. X.”
Many Anstead fans came to their defense as they noted that Hall had featured Hudson in paid advertisements on her Instagram account.
One Instagram user said, “Hudzo’s childhood is not for sale. As a dad, I will continue to apply for x.”
One commentator accused Anstead of also using Hudson to promote his business, noting that his son has appeared in photos with Radford Motors, a dedicated car brand he co-founded.
He replied, “Nobody buys a $500,000 supercar because Hodzo was in a picture.” “I even took him off the TV show (even though he was asked a few times)”.
Another critic told Anstead that he deserved “all the shade you get” and that he should have settled their differences in private rather than in court. The user wondered if he had a “hidden agenda,” adding, “I feel sorry for the crap Hudson will see when he gets older.”
“He will read the private letter I wrote to her on April 21st, a week before I confronted him,” Anstead replied. “She had 25 weeks to agree not to take it. She finally has this.”
When a fan asked how he’s dealing with all the hate on social media, he said he should “laugh about it actually.”
He continued, “The uninformed herd mentality tells us our current climate.” “If someone said to me 25 weeks ago ‘Get some bullshit from Karen’s bunch in exchange for not taking Hudzo for money’, I’d accept this deal! X.
Anstead and host of “Christina on the Coast” divorced in june 2021, but was locked in a notorious custody dispute over the Hudson.
According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the TV presenter has expressed concerns about the use of Hudson’s image for paid content, as well as in the television production group.
Anstead’s post, which included photos of Hudson with his grandfather, comes after Hall stated that Hudson will no longer appear on her social media.
“I am mentally exhausted due to the false accusations made recently. Hudson’s father tried to turn my family, friends and fans against me through manipulative tactics and false information,” home renovation expert wrote on Instagram.
“This had a huge impact on me and my family. Because of this, I made the decision not to show Hudson on Instagram, my TV shows, or any social platforms until he was old enough to make that decision for himself.”
“Hudson’s father has made it clear through public court filings that he uses Instagram to assess what kind of parent I am, since that is the only access he has to my personal life. This has been the case since July 2020. This is unnecessary pressure for a platform to be used for sharing moments. chosen, rather than an instrument of judgment…especially since this is a very small part of my personal life where the rest is kept between me and my family.
The Flip or Flop alum added, “My personal collection of photos on my phone and in our house is filled with memories of my kids, so Hudson would be fine without showing off his presence in a public forum. Thanks to all the people who can see beyond the bullshit throwing at me. I’m going Always a protective mother.”
Christina used her maiden name “Hack” but took the last name of her husband Josh Hall when they married in April. Joshua Hall. Anstead was dating Renee Zellweger after they met on the set of his “Celebrity IOU Joyride” show last year.
