Apple introduced four new iPhone models not too long ago, the iPhone 14 series. We’ve already compared the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max to several Android phones, and it’s time to check out the iPhone 14 Plus. This phone is very similar to last year’s offerings and even has the same SoC as the iPhone 13 phones. The thing is, Apple didn’t introduce a big non-Pro iPhone last year, which is exactly what that is. Having said that, we wanted it compare To an offer from OnePlus. In this article, we will compare iPhone 14 Plus vs OnePlus 10T.
The OnePlus 10T is also the latest smartphone, and it was announced about a month before the iPhone 14 series. It has the same screen size as the iPhone 14 Plus, although the two phones are quite different. Although the OnePlus 10T is quite affordable, for many people it may be more expensive. It has advantages over iPhone 14 Plus, quite a few of them. Having said that, let’s get started, shall we?

Apple iPhone 14 Plus and OnePlus 10T: Design
The moment you lay your eyes on these two phones, you will notice how different they are. The iPhone 14 Plus has a notch, while the OnePlus 10T has a camera hole for the display, which is much smaller. The bezels are really thin on both phones, while the iPhone 14 Plus has a flat screen, unlike the OnePlus 10T. The iPhone 14 Plus is flat all around, the front, back, and sides are all flat, unlike the OnePlus 10T. The OnePlus phone has a lot of curves.
If we flip it around, you’ll notice completely different rear camera designs. The iPhone 14 Plus has two cameras in the upper left corner. The OnePlus 10T has three of them, which are part of the camera island that protrudes from one side of the device. These are completely different design approaches. Note that both phones are quite slippery in the hand, and the iPhone 14 Plus cuts the hand a bit more, mainly due to its design.
The iPhone 14 Plus is shorter, wider and thinner than the OnePlus 10T. The two phones weigh roughly the same, though they weigh 203 and 204 grams, respectively. The iPhone 14 Plus is made of stainless steel and glass, while the OnePlus 10T has a plastic frame and a glass back. Both feel like premium phones in hand. Only iPhone 14 Plus has an official water and dust resistance rating (IP68). Your personal preference will play a big role here.
Apple iPhone 14 Plus and OnePlus 10T: Presentation
They have the same display sizes, but their boards are vastly different. The iPhone 14 Plus has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2778 x 1284. This screen is HDR10 certified, and the same goes for Dolby Vision support. It gets very bright at 1200 nits peak brightness. This screen is protected by a ceramic protective glass, and offers an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. By the way, this is a 60Hz screen.
The OnePlus 10T, on the other hand, has a 6.7-inch (2412 x 1080) Fluid AMOLED+ display. This screen is curved, and it has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It supports HDR10+ content, and can display up to 1 billion colors. It offers an aspect ratio of 20:9, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 from Corning. By the way, the screen-to-body ratio is quite similar between the two devices.
So which board is better? Well, on paper, the OnePlus 10T definitely has the advantage. If you are used to screens with a high refresh rate, the OnePlus 10T definitely delivers in this regard. Both palettes offer gorgeous, vibrant colors and deep blacks. Viewing angles are also great on both phones, while both screens are more than sharp enough. This refresh rate is the main distinguishing point, and you also have to decide if you want a flat or curved screen.
Apple iPhone 14 Plus vs OnePlus 10T: Performance
The iPhone 14 Plus comes with the Apple A15 Bionic processor. This is the same chip that powers the iPhone 13 series, and it’s very powerful. The A16 Bionic isn’t exactly a huge improvement over it, which is probably why Apple decided to keep it for the iPhone 14 series (non-Pro models). The phone also includes 6GB of RAM and NVMe storage. The OnePlus 10T, on the other hand, comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 flash storage.
Does that translate into good performance in these two smartphones? The answer is yes. Not only good, but excellent. Both phones deliver great performance through and through. They don’t really overheat no matter what you do, while they can handle just about anything you throw at them with ease. Regular daily performance is a breeze, and so are gaming in fact. These are some of the softest smartphones on the market right now, and that says a lot.
Apple iPhone 14 Plus and OnePlus 10T: Battery
The iPhone 14 Plus comes with a 4,323 mAh battery, while the OnePlus 10T has a 4,800 mAh battery. Battery capacity varies, but note that the two operating systems have different battery requirements. In fact, both smartphones offer really excellent battery life. The battery capacity inside the iPhone 14 Plus is slightly smaller than it is in the iPhone 13 Pro Max, and this device offers excellent battery life. It’s also worth noting that the “Plus” model has a refresh rate of 60Hz, compared to the 120Hz refresh rate on the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
What I’m trying to say is that the iPhone 14 Plus has a great battery life, and the same is true for the OnePlus 10T. Both of these smartphones are all-day devices when it comes to battery life, and this also applies to heavy users. We were able to get more than 10 hours of screen on time from the OnePlus 10T, many times over. The iPhone 14 Plus should be able to give you more than 8, although it all depends on your usage, network signal, etc. Simply there are many factors included. Regardless, both smartphones have amazing battery life, some of the best out there from their respective platforms.
iPhone 14 Plus supports 23W charging at its maximum point, and this applies to wired charging. 15W MagSafe wireless charging is also supported, as is 7.5W Qi wireless charging. The OnePlus 10T only supports wired charging, but it charges much faster than the iPhone 14 Plus offers. The OnePlus 10T offers 150W (125W in US) charging. It’s also worth noting that the OnePlus 10T has a charging adapter in the box, while the iPhone 14 Plus doesn’t.
Apple iPhone 14 Plus and OnePlus 10T: Cameras
The Apple phone has two cameras on the back, while the OnePlus 10T has three cameras. The iPhone 14 Plus includes a 12MP main camera, and a 12MP ultrawide camera, a setup familiar from previous iPhones. The OnePlus 10T has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Camera performance isn’t the OnePlus 10T’s strong suit, but the main camera does.
Both smartphones take really great pictures during the day. Those of the iPhone 14 Plus are more realistic in real life, and the phone is more reliable when it comes to taking pictures. However, it is far from perfect. Its dynamic range isn’t on par with pixels or anything like that, and it tends to blow out the highlights. They also tend to thicken foliage, and even water occasionally. Details are great on both phones.
The ultra-fast camera is definitely better on the iPhone 14 Plus side. Not only is it consistent with the main camera when it comes to colour, it simply performs better in different conditions and delivers clearer images. The OnePlus 10T’s macro camera isn’t very good at all, and you’ll probably want to avoid it. This basically applies to every 2MP macro camera we tested, the sensor is pretty small.
In low light, both phones perform well with their main cameras. The iPhone 14 Plus does a much better job with the ultra-high-resolution camera. Neither of these phones is the best in low-light conditions, although there are better displays out there.
First of all, neither phone offers an audio jack. That’s not something we see on high-end phones these days, well, that’s true of the vast majority of them. You will have to use Bluetooth or a wired connection here. Speaking of which, the two phones offer Bluetooth 5.3 and 5.2 respectively. They also include a Lightning port and a Type-C port respectively (iPhone 14 Plus and OnePlus 10T).
You’ll find a set of stereo speakers on every device. You’ll be glad to know that both sets of speakers are actually pretty good. It’s sturdy, doesn’t deform much at the highest volumes, and is well balanced. We don’t really have big complaints when it comes to audio output here.
