Best Chromebook for Teens

Positives

  • Relatively good dual core CPU

  • Affordable, Affordable, Affordable

  • Rugged Marxol cables included

  • Good battery life

Negatives

  • uninspiring show

  • Limited apps

The best Chromebook for teens is the 2022 edition of the basic 14-inch Chromebook from Lenovo. It doesn’t look very fancy on paper, with a dual-core Intel Celeron processor and only 4GB of RAM. But that’s more than any teen needs to perform basic tasks at home and at school. Your child will be able to work in Google Docs and participate in online classes. Watching YouTube or Netflix won’t be a problem on this device either.

Despite this, this low-power Chromebook isn’t suitable for the most demanding tasks, and it has an uninspiring screen and a weak processor. They will not perform any gaming or graphic work on this device. Then again, that’s not what Chromebooks are all about.

It comes with everything else you’d expect: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a webcam, a decent battery, and a standard Chrome OS installation. This Chromebook also includes Marxol Cables, which are threaded charging cables that don’t rip or tear easily. Perfect for children.

Positives

  • touch screen

  • 32 GB of onboard storage

  • Good battery life

HP has some great Chromebooks across all price points, but the basic 14-inch Chromebook is best for younger kids. It comes with an easy-to-use HD touch screen, so your kids can interact with it and enjoy the functionality of traditional laptop and tablet apps.

It also has a mid-range Intel Celeron processor that can go up to 2.4GHz along with 4GB of RAM, giving it plenty of performance for basic tasks and lightweight applications. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a webcam, and a battery life of up to 10 hours. The 32GB of eMMC storage isn’t great, it won’t be that fast, and that’s not a lot of space either, but all Chromebooks get 100GB of free Google Drive storage for a year, so you can take advantage of that if your kids need more. or, Get a capable external hard drive.

This Chromebook may be able to stand up to abuse, but it’s huge as a result. It has thick edges and a massive base. The screen is nothing to write home about either. However, I doubt our young children would care if it was 1080p or 8k.
